Visage is a micro intensive hero that has a tanky and nuke oriented playstyle! His Grave chill slow is a great anti-carry ability, and Soul Assumption is a fantastic nuke that should be used every 4 seconds in battle if your micro is good enough. You should generally build either solo killing items like Medallion, aghanims, and Rod of Atos, or focus on support items like Mek, Force staff and Urn! He's a pretty tough hero to play well but it's really rewarding when you pull it off, so give it a shot!
